About

I’m Shen Lijun. I work in tech, and I write.

Most of my time goes into two things: re-running the problems other people hit, to find out why they actually happen; and writing down what I confirmed, so the next person doesn’t have to hit it again.

What this site is

This is the front door to a handful of separate sites:

  • Common Docs — practical documents and AI tooling notes (in Chinese).
  • Shen Lijun’s Blog — beyond tech: health, consumer traps, scams, observations (in Chinese).
  • LinuxFix — field notes for Linux errors.
  • EventID — Windows Server event IDs and logon failures.

Why they are separate

Different problems attract different people, and they need different answers. Split up, each site only has to serve one kind of reader instead of switching tone halfway down the page.

How to judge whether something here is trustworthy

Every technical conclusion carries its environment: distro, version, date. The “Verified” block tells you when and where it was checked; past one year it turns amber, because it may have expired.

If an article has no verification info, it means I didn’t run it — not that it’s correct.
